A little about me

I live in Colorado, on the Western Slope, in a valley called the Plateau. I grew up in Colorado, and have lived there all of my life.  We recently moved from our home in the mountains, to this valley, and it is every bit as spectacular as the mountains were.

I have been sewing since I was a child, taught by my mother and grandmother.  My main career was a nail artist, and I owned a salon, and taught others how to do nails and perfect their skills. I did a lot of bridal sewing over the years, and eventually my interest went to quilting and embroidery. I can draw, paint, and do woodwork. I have two Etsy stores, one for sewn items and patterns I have published, and the other for my hand painted stick horses, which I have now been making for almost 20 years.  I love to teach others to do things, no matter what it is, and I love to learn, myself.  I have had Brother machines for over 20 years, and in that time have learned more than  a lion’s share of knowledge about them. I admin several large Brother groups on Facebook, and spend a lot of my time helping others to troubleshoot problems and learn how to use these fabulous machines.

Fun Facts about me

Here’s something you might not guess….I love to fish, and do so from a kayak.  I’m a little bit afraid of the water, but my love of fishing gets me out there. I have also been on an episode of River Monsters…because I kiss my fish and let them go.  Our recent move has opened more fishing opportunities to me, and I am excited to check out the waters.
